WHY BECOME A MEMBER OF CITY OF PERTH TOASTMASTERS?
City of Perth Toastmasters is a great way to improve your communication skills. Lose your fears of public speaking and learn skills that will help you whatever path you have chosen in life.
Just as City of Perth Members learn to speak simply by speaking, they learn leadership by leading.
Leadership cannot be learned in a day. It takes practice. At City of Perth Toastmasters, Members build leadership skills by organising and conducting meetings and motivating others to help them. Club leadership roles and a leadership development program also offer opportunities to learn and practice.
WHAT DO YOU GET?
Upon joining a Toastmasters Club and in particular at City of Perth, each new member will receive a set of communication and leadership training manuals and other resources to support their personal development goals.
Members also have access to experienced members who are able to mentor them individually.
Members also receive the award-winning The Toastmaster, a monthly magazine that offers the latest insights on speaking and leadership techniques.

City of Perth Toastmasters meets over dinner on the first and third Mondays of each month - refer to our Club Calendar for dates or download our Meeting Schedule.
We meet at the Wentworth Hotel, corner of William & Murray Streets in Perth, Western Australia.

There is no pressure to join. Rather we want you to be sure Toastmasters is what you are looking for and that City of Perth is the right Club for you. We love Guests and encourage you to "try before you buy".
COSTS?
There is a Toastmasters International joining fee of AUD$50.00 which covers the cost of two initial manuals and your member badge. There are also ongoing semi-annual fees which are also currently AUD$54.00 - to be paid by 1st April and 1st October each year. The initial fee payment is pro rated if you join mid period.
Meal costs are AUD$25.00 per fortnightly meeting, which covers a two course meal - either entrιe and main, or main and dessert. Vegetarian options are available, but we need to know in advance in order to advise the Hotel.
THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE!
All City of Perth Toastmasters can aspire to progressing to represent Australia in the World Championships of Public Speaking at a Toastmasters Convention, held either in the United States or elsewhere in the world.
Along the way, are Club, Area, Division and District Contests. There are also opportunities to take on official roles at these Contests such as being a Judge, but more important is the opportunity to watch and learn from experienced speakers.
